My husband’s friend just purchased one of the most elegant and impressive cribs that I have ever seen. While it is a little pricier than most standard cribs, it has drawers underneath it so it saves a ton of space while being attractive and functional. The beginning cost for the crib will also pay off, as the crib converts to a youth bed and later a day bed.
Features and Function
The crib also has a changing table attached to it. This is a great feature, as the baby does not have to travel far after a nap to be changed, so messes and accidents are easy to prevent. The changing table has shelves and drawers for convenient storage or changing supplies, clothing, and back up sheets. When the child is ready for the crib to be converted to a toddler bed or daybed, this changing table can actually be removed and you have a ready-made night stand with a small set of drawers.
The whole crib is made of solid wood, so it will last through the years. It is attractive and high quality wood, painted a pretty white. The crib meets all Consumer Product Safety Commission regulations and specifications. The crib does not come with a mattress for either the main sleeping area or the changing table, but this was not an issue, as my husband’s friend wished to purchase a mattress that was hypoallergenic and did not desire padding (other than blankets) on the changing table.
So far, this crib has been a wonderful convenience with the changing table and attached drawers, and has helped to reduce the clutter in the room and give the impression of a larger area. This crib will also be helpful for years to come, and will save money on purchasing new furniture as their baby grows up.
